Ketan (W/R), June 1, GNA - The Ahantaman Girls' Senior High School (SHS) on Friday won an inter-schools quiz competition on Parliamentary Affairs, at Fijai, near Takoradi.
The competition was organized by the Public Affairs Department of Parliament and the Sekondi-Takoradi Parliamentary Resources Center.
The Ahantaman Girls' SHS had 44 points, followed by Sekondi SHS with 41 points and Archbishop Porter Girls' SHS was third with 39 points.
The other competiting schools were the Adiembra SHS and the Methodist SHS.
Paapa Owusu Ankomah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Sekondi, and Mr. Jor Baidoe Ansah, MP for Effia-Kwesiminstim, presented trophies to the winners.
They commended the schools for their performance and advised students to concentrate on their studies to enable them come out with flying colours in their examinations.
