TTB offices branded Ecobank to complete integration process

The unveiling of the Ecobank logo at all branches of TTB took place simultaneously across the country on Friday, June 1, 2012.

This signifies the completion of the integration following merger between Ecobank Ghana and The Trust Bank.

In Kumasi, all former TTB offices and branches are now branded Ecobank.

Head of Branch Banking at Ecobank, Adobea Addo told Luv Biz Report the enlarged Ecobank will inure to the benefit of the business and financial consumers.

“The merger has brought about a wider range of improved products and services and obviously a bigger balance sheet and a bigger workforce with experienced and skilled people. So this is also going to be a better Ecobank and I have no shadow of doubt that with this enlarged entity, Ecobank will still be the most preferred bank”, she stated.

Customers of the merged bank can now access an expanded network of 78 branches and 167 ATMs across the country.

Head of the Northern Sector of Ecobank, Abraham Adu-Kwarteng said the bank will be building on the strength of TTB to better serve that the needs of small businesses.

“The basic objective is to make sure that we meet the needs of our clients and to be available. I believe we'll be able to serve that SME market better than anybody else because TTB had that strength [and] that is why we've come together and we're going to make sure that we use that strength to promote the SME business”, emphasized Mr. Adu Kwarteng.

Ecobank's acquisition of TTB was approved by the Central Bank in December 2011.
