PAP Elects New Leadership for its Various Organs

JOHANNESBURG, South-Africa, June 1, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- The Pan-African Parliament (PAP) yesterday elected new leadership for its various Committees, Regional Caucuses and the Women's Caucus. This was in line with the Parliament's Rules of Procedure which require the election of new leadership every three years. On Monday, the Parliament elected a new President and four Vice Presidents as per these Rules. The new President is Hon. Bethel Nnaemeka AMADI, MP from Nigeria.

The PAP has ten Permanent Committees, five Regional Caucuses, a Women's Caucus and one ad hoc Committee.
