Daboase (W/R), May 2, GNA - Mr. Seth Oteng, Executive Director of Youth Bridge Foundation, said effective participation of the youths in decision making was important for nation building.
He said the youth were important agents for development and must be given the chance to participate in governance.
Mr. Oteng said this at the launch of a documentary on the youth and local governance carried out in some districts of the Western at Daboase.
The Foundation, with support from USAID and LOGODEP, was using the documentary to highlight concerns of the youth as well as how major actors in the decentralisation grade youth interest in the process and how it could be improved.
He called on the assembly members to also involve the youths in discussions aimed at their holistic development.
Mr. Oteng cautioned the youths not to allow party politics to break their rank.
