Mother Ghana Is Weeping ‘Maa Maa’!

For me, if Ghana was a human being, she will be weeping for the rest of her life and nobody could have stopped her. The fallout from the wiki leaks' saga has created major security issues that need not to be played with. Ghanaians have come to know that our leaders; both the past NPP government and the ruling NDC government actually meddled with our security issues if the wiki leaks disclosures were to be true.

As i speak now, some of the people whose names were mentioned have actually confirmed their discussions with some these foreign agencies. Their only excuses are that they did not know that it will get to this extend and this is shameful!

Seriously, these people should be ashamed of themselves for being 'cheap gossips' without considering the implications of their actions on the security of our be loving country .Were you carried away by the mere instance that you met officials from the western side, so you ought to answer every question they asked you, even if it will toil with the peace we have today?

For me, i pity the sitting President, Prof. Mills, especially with the fact that even his health issues were discussed by his own people to the foreign nationals without thinking of the mess they could cause in some time to come.

These disclosures from wiki leaks, has undermine Ghana's security and i wonder how the President will want to discuss serious national security issues with his ministers or cabinet. Because on the other side, he is not sure whether matters discussed will not be automatically sent through 'the slippery okro' communication medium to the so called foreign support aids.

As it stands now, the ordinary Ghanaian is not sure the next thing to be leaked. It is so amazing how leaders will easily forget that some issues they discuss with some of these diplomats will undermine the national peace and development we are building.

For all you know, not all these disclosures from wiki leaks are true, but because some of them have been accepted by the major players whose names were mentioned, then everything thing that wiki leaks has revealed would then be true; which may not necessarily be the case.

Our two former Presidents have been drawn into this whole wiki leaks' saga and it is very unfair. Why won't they talk about their former presidents? We must not allow this to happen. The necessary respect must be given to our former servants. This is key to the peace and development we are building. But this is not to say that the disclosures about the former presidents are totally not true; there is no smoke without fire. Even the smoke from electronic cigarettes has 'fire'!
