One hundred and eighteen students graduated from the Sikkim Manipal University in Accra over the weekend.
Graduands, who excelled in their respective disciplines, were presented with special gold medals while Samuel Oppong-Boadi received the overall best student award and special achiever award.
In an address, Kapil Gupta, Managing Director, SMU Ghana, unveiled plans of expanding the new campus in Kumasi to help students with professional skills in Ashanti region and its environs.
'As Ghana gears up for middle-income status, the need for skilled and well-trained personnel can never be over-looked hence the training of Ghana's youth to take advantage of opportunities,' he observed.
Dr. Osei Darkwa, President of the Ghana Telecom University College, who was the guest of honour at the function, praised the students for their achievements.
