Former national super featherweight champion, , earned a unanimous points decision over former WBA featherweight champion, Freddie Norwood, in a lightweight contest at the Jostens Centre in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA, Saturday.
The three judges scored the fight 99-89, 100-88 and 100-88 in favour of the Ghanaian who improved to 25-1 (21Kos). Norwood, now 43-4-1 (23Kos), was ducked points for unorthodox fighting in the ninth round of the 10-round non-title contest.
Narh, long held back home in Ghana as one of the biggest world title prospects, was a handful for his 41-year-old opponent who once stepped out of the ring for six long years.
Niorwood was regarded as one of the best featherweights between 1998 and 2000 during which period he beat the likes of Juan Manuel Marquez and Antonio Cermeno.
He, however, bowed out from the ring, albeit temporarily, in September 2000 when he lost by a TKO to Derrick Gainer. He resurfaced in 2006, but has endured an unsuccessful spell over the period, losing twice to Johnnie Edwards along the way.
