under and General Overseer of Jesus Blood Prophetic Ministry, who is being tried at an Accra Circuit Court for defiling his eight-year-old daughter, says his hands are clean as far as the allegation against him is concerned.
Nana Yirenkyi, alias Jesus Onetouch, told the court under cross-examination by Mrs. Helen Kwawukume, a state attorney that 'my hands are clean', raising his two hands in the air to signify his innocence.
The church founder also denied that Efo, his former houseboy who was said to have 'fingered' his daughter, never existed and explained that he did not make up the story.
In response to an assertion by the state attorney that his daughter could not afford to look at him in the face because of the sexual encounters he had had with her, the accused person said she could rather not stand him because she had connived with her mother to put him in trouble.
The accused person said he met the victim's mother when he was a jobless man in his mid thirties, as a result of which he could not immediately cater for her. He explained that he wanted to marry (her) because he was hopeful that God would turn his situation around.
The pastor when asked who and how old Efo was, he said Efo would be about 50 years explaining that he had a boil in his stomach and was healed after he (Onetouch) prayed for him. It was after that incident that Efo came to his house and started running errands for him.
The accused person said he knew Efo Emma was from the Volta region but did not know his real hometown.
He said that after realizing that his daughter had been fingered by Efo, he reported the matter to SCC Police Station near Kasoa Barrier at Weija on August 3, 2009 after which he informed his daughter's mother about the incident as well as the bad behavior his daughter was exhibiting.
Mrs. Kwawukume told the court, presided over by Mrs. Georgina Menash-Datsa, that the victim's mother advised the pastor to report the case to the police threatening that she was ready to pursue the case against Efo. But the pastor insulted his ex-wife.
She said two ladies believed to be Onetouch's cousins came there and threatened to teach her a lesson if she bothered to look for Efo.
The accused person denied the prosecution's submission saying his cousins could not do such a thing. He and the victim's mother even reported the case in Dawu at Akuapim in the Eastern Region where she lives with the girl.
The pastor denied he ever defiled his daughter saying he could not even bear the thought of his daughter seeing his nakedness because it was something abominable.
Under re-examination by his lawyer, K.N. Adomako Acheampong, the accused person said he reported the case to the SCC police station on August 3, 2009.
The case has been adjourned to November 24, 2010.
