The Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in Nigeria, Dr. Paul B. Orhii has praised Kasapreko Company limited for producing high-quality products in the country.
Dr Orhii made the commendation during an official visit to the company to acquit himself with products and to standardize them.
“We already have some product made by Kasapreko Company limited and we have come to look at the source in Ghana because Kasapreko products are doing very well in Nigeria,” he explained.
NAFDAC, which is under the Federal Ministry of Health in Nigeria, is responsible for controlling and regulating the quality of products for import, export, advertisement, distribution and sales.
Impressed with Kasapreko's operations after the tour, Dr. Paul B. Orhii noted, “We like what we saw at the Kasapreko manufacturing company; the good equipments, technology update and a strong development component.”
He said he was pleased with the products of the company, stressing that NAFDAC has decided to approve the product in Nigeria because the company was manufacturing good products in Ghana.
The Director General for NAFDAC further revealed that they strictly accept products from other countries.
“We accept quality products and standards of production from companies,” he added.
Kasapreko Company Limited, a manufacturer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in Ghana, was the first local manufacturer to establish a modern quality control and product development laboratory and was also the first to introduce its own proprietary bespoke bottles and caps.
It combines the best from the Ghanaian heritage with herbal science and state-of-the-art manufacturing technology to deliver products that offer a multiplicity of benefits to the consumer.
The company was founded in 1989 in Nungua, a suburb of Accra, in response to the growing demand for good quality alcoholic drinks, which were still within the means of the average Ghanaian.
