Cake Tekniks International, a privately owned institute of modern cake designing and sugarcraft, has held its glamorous 30th Graduation at the Accra International Conference Centre on Sunday with a call on gradaunds to be hard working and be creative.

In all, 275 students, including a male, received diploma certificates in cake decoration, computer literacy, floral and balloon decoration.

Chairman of the occasion, Mrs Nikki Boamponsem, Chief Executive Officer of 2nd Image congratulated the new graduands for successfully completing their course and challenged them to use the newly acquired skills to affect positively the new industry.

She dismissed assertion that the industry is only for the under privileged and drop-outs and challenged university leavers to take up courses in catering and other professions.

Mrs Boamponsem congratulated the director of the institute, Mrs Jane Addo through whose efforts and expertise dozens of students have gotten a career.

She was full of praise for the expertise and touch of class that went into the decoration of the cakes, and regretted, that all the efforts in preparing the cakes end up in peoples stomachs.

Mrs Jane Addo, indicated that her institution will not be left behind in the era of Information Communication Technology, a reason why ICT programmes have been drafted into the institute to facilitate the decoration of the cake.

The institute, she said is ready to provide 'service with a smile' and urged families and friends to patronize the cakes well decorated by the new graduands.

Hours before the graduation ceremony, the lobby of the Accra International Conference Centre was awash with a variety of cakes designed with class and elegance.

The thousands who thronged the venue were full of admiration for the designs.
