Accra, Dec. 17, GNA - The Management of eJobs Ghana Limited in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry on Thursday launched a Made in Ghana Fair in Accra.

Mrs. Boahemaa Ntim, Chief Executive Officer of eJobs said the fair was to promote goods and services made in Ghana, and contribute to the creation of sustainable jobs for Ghanaians.

She said in the past some companies closed down because of their inability to compete with inferior products being imported into the country.

"If we continue to buy inferior imported goods, to the neglect of locally produced items, we are just cutting our noses to spite our faces," Mrs. Ntim said.

Mr. Kwadjo Atuahene, Deputy Chief Director, Ministry of Trade and Industry, said promotion of made in Ghana goods was very critical and the ministry would offer the needed assistance.

He noted that the introduction of Friday wear was to promote the textile industry in Ghana, and would soon be extended to all-day wear.

Mr. Atuahene said the Ministry had negotiated for assistance to Ghanaian companies to increase production.
