EXPOSED! KWESI PRATT'S DIABOLIC AGENDA

  Tue, 03 Nov 2009
Kwesi PrattKwesi Pratt

*Turns heat on TODAY Newspaper
He does seem to be a real manifestation of a lead evil character in a Shakespearean drama. Not very much out of touch for many who know him though; it has been his trait, perhaps since he attained adolescence.

In his desperate bid to please his new NDC masters, Kwesi Kakraba (Jnr.,) Pratt is all but set to unleash his diabolic agenda on TODAY newspaper. He began the plot last Saturday in a legendary fashion, where he unguardedly let go many verbal salvos, some very much unprintable, against the paper for exposing the rot in his new-found-love-home (the NDC), its assigns and the government.

In that vitriolic jibes on Radio Gold's Current Affairs programme-Alhaji & Alhaji, Pratt did not only denigrate the paper for exposing the highly diplomatic plot by the Mills administration that torpedoed the supposed Mo Ibrahim Prize Foundation for African Leadership for former Ghanaian President John Kufuor, but also set the tone for what was to become panel attacks of people Pratt and his ilk perceive to be financiers of TODAY newspaper.

He wrongfully assumed that the paper was established by his imaginary publisher to destroy and attack prominent personalities. Unfortunately, he did not state exactly the kind of attacks and destruction that he was talking about. We therefore deduced that he was up to his well-known evil forte of destroying people and newspapers who do not share in his skewed conviction.

Shockingly, a reaction to the said story from Prof. Akilagkpa Sawyerr was sent to the paper through Kwesi Pratt when indeed the paper's e-mail address is printed boldly on page two of the paper. By the traits so far exhibited by Pratt, we would not be wrong in our deduction that perhaps the rejoinder was induced by Kwesi Pratt.

It is universal knowledge that newspapers are funded by either an individual/s or institutions. That individual could also be, if that resourceful and with some form of communication background, be the paper's editor; or group of people who go into newspaper publication with the aim of putting together a business enterprise where they employ experts and knowledgeable people in the area to manage such.

That explains why many Journalist-publishers in Ghana often refer to themselves as either Managing Editors or Executive Editors.

So you see Pratt, there is absolutely nothing wrong having businessmen or people, depending on their disposition, being publishers of newspapers and the practice, in our estimation, is akin to people with sound financial standing who decide to establish organizations where they become CEOs, Managing Directors etc.

And we thought Pratt should have known this simple fact and therefore should have restricted his unguarded attacks on the editorial direction of the story as it appeared in TODAY and not to turn his frustrations on his imaginary publisher or financiers of the paper.

By that singular act, Pratt has opened up himself for us to tell Ghanaians who he really is and also the people who are offering financial assistance to his sunk and pathetic Insight newspaper, which although has been on the newsstands for well over a decade, only manages less than 500 copies nationwide.

We know on authority that Pratt's paper is being funded by people close to the sitting Vice President and that explains how he has managed to go colour with that joke of a newspaper. Pratt's 200 Class Benz Salon car was bought for him by a blood brother of the sitting Vice President.

He has given the car to his children, who are currently studying at the University. It was a thank you gift for leading the propaganda campaign in the days up to the selection of a running mate for Prof. Mills, since the 2004 elections.

Although Pratt's preferred choice, then MP for Bole Bamboi, John Dramani Mahama, failed to catch the fancy of then candidate Mills, the Mahamas still kept faith with Pratt and encouraged him to go the full hog for John Mahama's candidature in the 2008 elections.

Diabolic Pratt would not be at peace with himself and lambasted then candidate Mills for selecting Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni as his running mate in 2004 instead of his master and financial supporter, John Dramani Mahama.

In his unquenchable zeal to stock up his finances, Pratt would not rest his limbs and went all out to get the ears of Prof. Mills in selecting the then Bole Bamboi MP, Hon. John Dramani Mahama, ahead of Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni and Rawlings'protégé – Mrs. Betty Mould Iddrisu.

That is the vintage and treacherous Pratt in motion! He has over the years proved to be a very incongruous character with very deceptive outlook. You either support his cause or be condemned forever.

Those who had previously shared in his vision about Ghana have been betrayed in the long run. The unending list includes Alhaji Bature, Mr. Asamoah Boateng, Mr. Kweku Baako, Dr. Nduom, Mr. Kwesi Agble, and many others.

It is obvious that the writer is cowardly attacking a man whose integrty is as pure as is gold! It is true that many fell off on the wayside of shaddy deals and corrupt influences. It would be easier to tell the nefarious intentions coupled with financial inducements that do not sit so easily with Kwesi. How do you expect Kwesi to get along with Kweku Baako after all of us saw and heard the way he was bending his back to defend the NPP Administration of ex-President John Kufour?

The so-called “unending list” of former friends of Kwesi who fell off with him reads like a gallery of political opportunists! It is so laughable to see Alhaji Bature, Asamoah Boateng, Kweku Baako, Nduom, Kwesi Agble, listed as if we do not know them!

Anyway, if Kwesi Pratt, Jnr., who is a known and committed Nkrumahist and a leading member of the CPP can dribble NDC bigwigs like Rawlings and impose a Vice President on the NDC Administration, where even Spio Garbrah does not get a ministerial appointment, then Kwesi must be a very powerful force in Ghana today indeed!

One other rather bizarre accusation in this story is the one of Mr. Pratt sending a copy of the reaction of Prof. Akilagkpa Sawyerr directly to the paper. What is wrong with this if he receives a printed copy and wants to hand that in personally? This statement is rather stupid: “Shockingly, a reaction to the said story from Prof. Akilagkpa Sawyerr was sent to the paper through Kwesi Pratt when indeed the paper's e-mail address is printed boldly on page two of the paper. By the traits so far exhibited by Pratt, we would not be wrong in our deduction that perhaps the rejoinder was induced by Kwesi Pratt.”

So Kwesi is manipulating President Mills, Prof. Prof. Akilagkpa Sawyerr, the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, and God knows what else! Don't you have any respect for these men?

One thing is sure, the integrity of Kwesi cannot be dented by such infantile giberring. This stupid attack rather pays homage to that!
