Afric Xpress and National Chemical Sellers Association sign deal

Accra, May 1, GNA – Afric Xpress, an electronic payment solution provider focused on mobile payments, have signed a landmark deal with the Ghana National Chemical Sellers Association under which members will transact businesses with customers using the txtNpay mobile phone electronic platform.

Under the partnership agreement concluded in Accra the over 10,000 members of the Association nationwide would act as agents for Afric Xpress in the various communities in which they operate.

Michael Amoh Asiedu, Financial and Administrative Manager Afric Xpress and Torgbi Adela Dartey III, National President Chemical Sellers Association signed the deal.

With the deal registered members of the public could buy txtNpay electronic cash and send same to relatives who would be paid the amount sent at the offices of the chemical sellers.

Mr Asiedu said Afric Xpress mission was to foster electronic–based payment by turning mobile phones and computers into commercial platforms with the ultimate goal of empowering customers with security, speed, and convenience.

The mobile payment solution is done in partnership with telecom companies and banks.

txtNpay is a mobile phone-based secured payment system which enables its users to pay utility bills, send money to any other mobile phone user, buy prepaid air time, check bank account balances and purchase goods and service.

Through the txtNpay wallet, an electronic stored value account which customers can charge by buying txtNpay electronic cash at any approved partner or outlet.

“The convenience is that one can transact payments by texting from their handset at anytime and from any location within the coverage of their telecom network,” Mr Asiedu said.

Torgbi Dartey said the chemical sellers come to the partnership with experience and integrity in operating over the years.

TxtNpay interfaces with a wide network of partners which includes telecom companies, banks and financial institutions, petroleum marketing companies, internet service providers, tertiary institutions and utility services providers for services which include money transfer, mobile phone top-ups, bill payments and merchant payments.
