All commercial imports into Ghana through the Port of Lome, Togo, shall enter Ghana through the Aflao border post only with effect from Wednesday, April 22.
Consequently, no Customs, Excise and Preventive Service frontier other than Aflao shall allow the entry and clearance of commercial consignments in transit to Ghana from the Port of Lome.
The directive is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) signed by Ms Annie Anipa, Assistant Commissioner (Public Relations).
The statement said CEPS was entreating all importers, the business community and the general public to take note and comply accordingly.
