Bank PHB Nigeria is to be the exclusive sponsor of CNN International's brand new weekly half-hour interview programme 'African Voices', launching this month. The commercial partnership positions Bank PHB Nigeria against CNN's newest, most ambitious personality-driven editorial commitment to Africa yet, and in front of CNN's upscale audiences across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The advertising campaign will also reach millions of online users globally via CNN.com.
'African Voices' showcases uniquely personal viewpoints and candid, up-close revelations from the international newsmakers who call Africa home. CNN's in-region correspondents Robin Curnow, Nkepile Mabuse, David McKenzie and Christian Purefoy along with Atlanta-based Isha Sesay, bring viewers special reports and interviews from the innovators and thought leaders making an impact in Africa and on the global stage - from areas as varied as sport, politics, business and the arts.
“This deal echoes the robust investment CNN International is making in Africa across the whole of our business. More than just an advertising deal, this is a true partnership that establishes a meaningful brand association for Bank PHB against what will be a breakthrough half hour of programming,” commented Rani R Raad, SVP Advertising Sales, CNN International. “We're delighted that Bank PHB has chosen CNN as the platform to extend their brand footprint internationally and we look forward to connecting the brand with our audience of affluent consumers across the globe”.
Francis Atuche, Group Managing Director/CEO, Bank PHB says Africa is at an important turning point and therefore needs to continuously identify and celebrate its authenticity. “The spotlight on African personalities who have overcome daunting challenges to become shining lights on the continent is bound to inspire the younger generation about their abilities to equally succeed in their chosen fields.”
The Bank PHB campaign includes exclusive sponsorship of programme vignettes which will air throughout the week, giving the brand international exposure to CNN's upscale audience. Online, Bank PHB are exclusive global sponsors of the 'African Voices' microsite www.cnn.com/africanvoices with banner advertising across the page.
