Mustapha Gbande has asked whether Miracle Aboagye should be trusted around the corridors of power, using allegations of financial impropriety against the political figure to defend his own record.
Gbande made the comments on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, when he arrived at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) headquarters to declare his intention to contest in the party’s upcoming internal elections.
The NDC Deputy General Secretary, who also serves as Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency, acknowledged that he had a reputation for causing trouble but argued that his conduct should not be confused with corruption.
“One title I cannot deny is causing trouble. That is minimal to me, and that is my nature,” he said.
He then cited the case of Miracle Aboagye, alleging that he had faced questions over money meant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after the party’s general election defeat.
“Between the two of us, who should Ghanaians be afraid to allow close to corridors of power?” he asked.
