Agona West MCE commission ultramodern KG blocks for Agona Swedru and Agona Odom AME Zion Basic Schools

The MCE for Agona West, Hon Eric Gyamfi has said that the Assembly will continue to construct more KG blocks to strengthen education at the lowest level of education in the municipality and urged parents and all stakeholders to take keen interest in their children's education.

According to the Municipal Chief Executive, KG is the foundation for quality education and therefore urged headteachers of the various basic schools to consider placing experience and qualified teachers to teach the kids at that department.

Hon. Eric Gyamfi Odoom stated these when he commissioned Two newly constructed ultramodern KG blocks for Agona Swedru AME Zion 'B' Basic and Agona Odom AME Zion schools respectfully.

The Local Manager of AME Zion schools, Rev. Thomas Arko Akwa praised the MCE for Agona West, Hon Eric Gyamfi Odoom as well as the MP for Agona West for their combined effort to ensure quality education for children of school-going age in the municipality.

Rev. Thomas Arko Akwa who is also the Head Pastor of Mount Zion AME Zion church in Agona Swedru pledged the support of the Church to embark on enrollment drive to boost the population of Agona Swedru AME Zion B Basic School.

The Headmistress of Agona Swedru AME Zion B Basic School, Madam Isabella Ersie while lauding the MCE for the beautiful edifice, appeals to him to consider renovation of the JHS Classroom block while leaks whenever there is heavy rainfall.

She assured that a proper culture of maintenance would be carried out to sustain the KG block.

Present were the Agona West Municipal Director of the Ghana Education Service, Mr Bismark Ofei Mfafo and the Central Regional Manageress of A.M.E Zion Education Unit, Madam Hanrietta Ghartey.
