NDC Scammed Ghanaians And Time Has Exposed Them

Prior to the 2024 general elections, NDC pretended to be saints and Ghanaians believed them and entrusted power to them but time has exposed them. The propaganda worked but reality is hitting them hard and their promises are falling apart with no end in sight.

The biggest scam ever was the fight against galamsey. NDC bigwigs and the so-called neutrals scammed Ghanaians into believing that the fight against galamsey was as easy as ABCD but now the galamsey is rather fighting the government, leaving the government clueless in fighting the menace. They said if Nana-Bawumia Government wanted to end galamsey, it could end it within three months. Interestingly, loud mouths like Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa even indicated that galamsey fight could be won within hours. Prof Ransford Gyampo and the likes, how is the galamsey market? The environment and water bodies are being destroyed and polluted on daily basis with unapologetically increasing in galamsey activities yet the so-called neutrals are mute. President Mahama is not committed to fighting galamsey activities at all - that is the candid conclusion after reviewing NDC bigwigs statements on the fight against galamsey in opposition.

Another scam of the NDC that time has exposed is the double track system of the Free SHS education policy beautifully implemented by the Nana-Bawumia Government. They deceived Ghanaians into believing that the double track system was a 'crime scene' and that they could fix it within months upon assumption of office. Almost two years in government, the confusion within the government with regards to the end time of the double track system is even confusing Ghanaians. The NDC government is still promising with different years it intends to end the double track system. Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, the Education Minister upon assumption of office told Ghanaians that the double track system would end in 2029. Laughable! The time they will be out of power. They scammed Ghanaians in opposition and still habour the impression that Ghanaians could be scammed twice. My understanding is that Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has shifted again and set another target of 2027 as a year to end the double track system. Time has exposed this government and will continue to do so as they shift the goalposts.

Time can only be friends to those who keep their promises not scammers. Teachers and potential teachers were not left out of the NDC's scamming spree. Teachers were told that the licensure exams they were writing will be a thing of the past when they come to power. It turned to a big scam. Ghana Teachers Licensure Examination is still in force almost two years after taking power. Time indeed is not a good friend to the hypocrite. Dear teachers, wise up, don't be fooled by the NDC twice.

When principle is thrown to the dogs and hypocrisy sets in, one must be concerned about the kind of individual he or she is dealing with. NDC in opposition lambasted the Nana-Bawumia Government for appointing NPP associate to the Electoral Commission of Ghana as just a commission member. NDC bigwigs in opposition swore heaven and earth that that kind of appointment cannot be done under the Presidency of Mr. John Dramani Mahama. Almost two years in government and President Mahama has done the same thing he personally criticized President Nana Addo for. President Mahama secretly appointed NDC 2024 campaign spokesperson on governance to the Electoral Commission as a Deputy EC Chairperson but the swearing in ceremony exposed it. Time has exposed the president, the NDC bigwigs and sympathizers. Interestingly, some NDC bigwigs and sympathizers are shamelessly defending similar appointment they bastardized few years ago. Scammers in Government, Indeed.

The Nana-Bawumia Government was as well criticized for just making appointments to replace retired judges or Justices to the courts by the NDC, calling it, packing the courts. Under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, real packing of the courts is at play. President Nana Addo appointed eighteen (18) justices to the supreme court in eight (8) years, and President Mahama has so far appointed Ten (10) justices under two (2) years in government. Time has exposed the NDC big time. Interestingly, Ghanaians believed them and voted for them and it has turned out to be a scam.

As for ORAL, the least said about it, the better. The NDC in opposition boldly campaigned on an 'animal' called ORAL - operation recover all loot - indicating their commitment to recovering all money looted by Ghanaians. These people even set up an ORAL Committee before taking over power. What has become of it? The committee boldly indicated that it was going to recover 21.9 billion dollars from looters. Bold Scammers! ORAL failed the very day this government started filing 'nolle prosequi' to discontinue President John Dramani Mahama's former appointees on trial for various corruption offenses and dishing out appointments to some of them. Time is exposing this NDC government.
