Ejisu Member of Parliament, Kwabena Boateng, Esq., has resumed his community development initiative with Asotwe becoming the latest beneficiary of a package of support aimed at addressing local needs and promoting community development.
The initiative, which forms part of the MP's ongoing community engagement efforts, saw him team up with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ejisu Constituency Executives, led by Constituency Chairman Kwame Bonsu, to present various items to traditional leaders, the Assembly Member, party executives and residents of Asotwe.
In a statement shared by the MP, he explained that the latest intervention followed a brief break to attend to other important legislative duties.
The items presented to the community included one skip container, 40 streetlights, two sets of football jerseys and two footballs, alongside a cash contribution towards the installation of the streetlights.
The provision of the skip container is expected to support sanitation efforts in the community, while the streetlights are intended to improve visibility and contribute to public safety at night.
The football jerseys and footballs are also expected to support sporting activities and encourage youth participation in community football.
The presentation brought together traditional authorities, local government representation and party executives, highlighting the involvement of different community stakeholders in the initiative.
The MP's return to the grassroots development drive signals the continuation of his community engagement activities across the Ejisu Constituency, with Asotwe now added to the list of communities benefiting from the programme.
Through the provision of sanitation equipment, streetlights and sporting materials, the initiative seeks to respond to some of the practical needs of residents while supporting community development.
Hon. Kwabena Boateng's engagement with Asotwe forms part of his stated commitment to grassroots development and maintaining contact with communities within the Ejisu Constituency.
