Sekyerew Kwamankese Crowns Nana Kow Asimeku V as New Baamuhen

The Sekyerew Kwamankese community in the Abura‑Asebu‑Kwamankese District of the Central Region has installed a new Baamuhen, whose stool name is Nana Kow Asimeku V, known in private life as Mr Francis Acquah.

Nana Asimeku, 33, is a Credit Manager at Obrapa Micro Credit Enterprise in Nyankumasi Ahenkro.

He was carried in a palanquin amid drumming and dancing through the principal streets of the community as part of the colourful traditional procession.

The installation rites were performed by the Odikro of the community, Nana Adu Nyarko Nyamekye VIII. Nana Asimeku took the oath of secrecy and allegiance to the people of Sekyerew Kwamankese.

The Odikro called for unity among the people, noting that a united front would make it easier to advance the development of the community. He pledged his commitment to lead the people and urged them to have confidence in his ability to help achieve their collective aspirations.

The Baamuhen expressed gratitude to the Odikro, the Church, community members and opinion leaders for the support shown throughout the processes leading to his installation.

Nana Asimeku advised the women of the community to cultivate the habit of financial independence and use it to support their families and contribute to the development of the community as a whole.
