1. The culprits in narcotics bust are international organised criminals. It is akin to terrorism. No one is asking how the drugs get into the country for it to leave.
2. Undoubtedly Ghana’is a transit. And transit means a corridor; in and out. The 'in' is equally very important as well as the 'out'.
3. Systemic failures. Not political failure. The beneficiaries are an international organised crime to look at the systems more than the politics.
4. The politics will go but the system remains because of the 'organised crime'. It is a network from the seabed to space. Drugs will not make Ghana a cocaine coast. The USA consumes more cocaine than the rest of the world. It is the fight that clears the coast.
5. Cocaine has no value until it is consumed. When arrested the value is zero. What it does is that the next snd the next shipment adds the previous losses. Put value on the weight quantity. Not the cost. The market value cost is an illusion. Soon 1kg will cost $1bn.
6. How do we keep it out. Make it difficult for the network to operate the supply chain. When cocaine is arrested anywhere in the world it should bring lessons to Ghana. Any cocaine arrested in any part of the world is linked to Ghana. Are you not happy that 4T of cocaine was shipped out of ghana stocks? I am happy with it. It does not make Ghana a cocaine coast. Like Swiss cheese, you plug the holes it went through. Gradually Gradually the holes will cease to open. We should begin to look from within how to keep the network running.
7. Cocaine is kept withing the high walls in affluent communities. Intelligence should profile the high walls. The Ghana card is the first sign.
8.Take off the uniformed NACOC personnel parambulating freely at the ports. Who gave NACOC uniform to wear?. That coffee uniform should change to undercover. NACOC is intelligence. Not footsoldiers.
. 9. If you go to the ports including the airports there are more non flying persons than those flying. They come there to facilitate. Facilitation is a statutory system to expedite logistics and traffic. There are more off-duty security services personnel at the ports than those on duty.
10. We suggest that every service personnel duty or off duty should clock. And that clock should trigger at their headquarters. These off duty are all over the place in the warehouses. Organised crime is a network.
11. Focusing on the political parties only goes to benefit the 'organised criminals.' Of essence the politics benefit. It is like wearing a glove that meshes with colour of the hand/ skin. 😊
12. It will happen again when the elections 2028 is getting near. November-December is full of holidays, distractions end of year low level security posture. It usually occurs when government is getting in and another is getting out. The honeymoon conspiracy. It is time footsoldiers are taking over public toilets and markets. It is the same public toilet take over philosophy at the ports and airport.
It has nothing to do with NPP NDC UP IMANI rtc etc. It is organised crime.
