Nikyema Billa Alamzy urges Chiana-Paga constituents to embrace unity on Founder’s Day

The Member of Parliament for Chiana-Paga, Hon. Nikyema Billa Alamzy, has extended warm Founder’s Day greetings to Ghanaians, particularly the people of the Chiana-Paga Constituency, calling for unity, selflessness and collective commitment to development.

In a message marking the national holiday on Monday, September 21, 2026, the MP reflected on the life and legacy of Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, whose birthday is commemorated on the day. The Ministry of the Interior has officially declared September 21, 2026, a statutory public holiday.

According to Hon. Alamzy, the occasion provides an opportunity for Ghanaians to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, vision and selflessness that characterised the country’s struggle for independence and the efforts of the founding figures who contributed to the birth of Ghana.

He said the values associated with the country’s founding must continue to guide citizens in their contribution to national and constituency development.

The MP particularly urged the people of Chiana-Paga to place the collective interest of the constituency above individual interests, stressing the importance of unity, hard work, peace and love in building a stronger community.

Hon. Alamzy noted that just as earlier generations made sacrifices for the benefit of those who came after them, the current generation also has a responsibility to make meaningful sacrifices to create better opportunities for future generations.

“As the people’s representative in Parliament,” he said, he remains committed to serving the people of Chiana-Paga with dedication, selflessness and love while working with relevant stakeholders to advance the development of the constituency.

He further encouraged constituents to make unity, peace and love for Chiana-Paga the foundation for building a more prosperous constituency.
