Kufuor bestows blessings on Nhyiaeso NPP Chairman, charges him to provide transformative leadership

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has prayed for divine guidance and wisdom for the newly elected Nhyiaeso NPP Chairman, Kwadjo Owusu Bempah, as he takes on the responsibility of leading the constituency.

Mr Kufuor offered the prayer when Mr Bempah, accompanied by constituency executives and other party members, paid a courtesy call on him at his private residence.

The former President commended the Nhyiaeso Chairman for what he described as his visionary leadership and record of philanthropy, expressing confidence that his commitment to the constituency could contribute to strengthening the NPP’s position in the Ashanti Region.

He urged Mr Bempah to build his leadership around integrity, compassion and wisdom, stressing the importance of transparency and trust in dealing with party members and stakeholders.

He also encouraged the Chairman to remain responsive to the needs of constituents through direct community engagement while exercising sound judgment in navigating local political issues and promoting unity within the party.

Mr Kufuor further highlighted some of Mr Bempah’s development and humanitarian initiatives in the Nhyiaeso constituency.

These include the construction of mechanised boreholes to address water shortages in communities, scholarships for brilliant but needy students pursuing higher education, and the construction of an ultra-modern ICT library in honour of the late former Nhyiaeso Constituency Chairman, George Kofi Adjei, popularly known as Geokad.

Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Mr Bempah expressed appreciation to the former President for receiving the delegation and sharing his experience and guidance.

"I thank God for the rare privilege to meet the sage of our time, receive his prayers, and absorb nuggets of wisdom that money simply cannot buy," the Chairman stated.

He said the meeting had further strengthened his determination to serve the people and contribute to the NPP’s electoral prospects.

"This encounter has bolstered our resolve to serve selflessly and work tirelessly to ensure the NPP secures victory in the upcoming general elections, delivering policies that will continuously improve the livelihoods of the Ghanaian people," Chairman Bempah posited.
