Mahama will hand over power to Bawumia in 2029 – Titus Glover

Aspiring National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nii Kwartei Titus Glover, has expressed confidence that the party will win the 2028 presidential election and return to power.

He believes former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who is the party’s 2028 presidential candidate, will defeat the National Democratic Congress candidate in the next elections.

According to Titus Glover, President Mahama will therefore hand over power to Dr Bawumia when his constitutional mandate ends on January 7, 2029.

The former lawmaker made the comments on Tuesday, August 25, when he filed his nomination forms to contest the NPP’s National Organiser position at the party’s headquarters in Accra.

Titus Glover said the NPP would need strategy, discipline and effective communication to successfully prosecute the 2028 election campaign.

He also called for unity and collective effort among party members, stressing that there was significant work to be done to return the NPP to government.

“All hands on deck. There’s a lot of job to be done. We need strategy, we need discipline, effective communication, and all the things that need to get us to power,” he said.

The former Greater Accra Regional Minister further expressed confidence that the NPP’s message would resonate with voters in the 2028 election.
