One person has died and eight others sustained injuries after a water tanker collided head-on with a Toyota Voxy at Tipper Junction on the Kasoa-Winneba Road.
The accident occurred on Saturday, August 15, 2026, according to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
Firefighters from the Buduburam Fire Station responded to the incident and rescued eight people who were injured in the crash.
The injured victims were subsequently transported to the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa for medical attention. However, the GNFS said one of the victims later succumbed to the injuries.
The Toyota Voxy sustained extensive damage to its engine compartment, while the water tanker also suffered partial damage.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear, with the GNFS indicating that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
