Three people have been killed in a fatal road crash involving a Toyota RAV4 and a Kia Picanto on the Kyebi-Asikam road in the Eastern Region.
The accident occurred when the two vehicles collided head-on, according to the Ghana National Fire Service.
In a report filed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Eastern Region, on Wednesday, August 12, the service said firefighters from the Kibi Fire Station responded to the incident and rescued the injured victims.
“Firefighters rescued the injured and transported them to Kibi Government Hospital. Unfortunately, three occupants of the Kia Picanto were pronounced dead,” the GNFS said.
Preliminary findings indicate that the Toyota RAV4 lost control, crossed into the opposite lane and collided with the Kia Picanto.
The cause of the RAV4 losing control has not yet been established.
