Parts of Tema in the Greater Accra Region will experience a six-hour power outage today, Tuesday, August 11, as the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) undertakes emergency maintenance works.
The outage, according to ECG, is necessary to improve service delivery in the affected areas.
The affected communities include Community 18, Fafali, Transformer, Cambodia and Baatsonaa, as well as surrounding areas.
In a notice issued by the ECG Tema Region, the company said the maintenance exercise will begin at 10:00am and end at 4:00pm.
“ECG will undertake emergency maintenance works for improved service delivery. This will result in a temporary outage,” the company stated.
The power company apologised to customers for the inconvenience the temporary outage may cause.
“ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise,” it added.
