NPP postpones national executive conference to October 3

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has postponed its National Executive Conference from September 19 to October 3, 2026, following changes to the availability of the proposed venue at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

In a statement sighted by MyNewsGh.com, the party explained that the rescheduling became necessary due to unforeseen changes communicated by the university regarding the use of its facilities.

“Our National Executive Conference, which was scheduled to take place on 19th September, 2026, has been rescheduled to 3rd October, 2026, as a result of unexpected changes made by the University Community (KNUST) regarding the availability of its facility for our conference,” the statement said.

The conference is a key event on the NPP's calendar, as delegates are expected to elect a new national executive to lead the party over the next four years.

The party is expected to use the conference to choose leaders who will spearhead efforts to reposition the NPP and strengthen its prospects ahead of future elections.

Our date for the National Executive Conference which was scheduled to take place on the 19th September, 2026 has been rescheduled to 3rd October, 2026 as a result of an unexpected changes that has been made by the University Community (KNUST) on the availability of its facility for our Conference.
