
The Branch Manager of Agonaman Credit Union in Agona Swedru, Mr. Bismark Antwi‑Ocran, has commended the Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, for presenting what he described as a clear and transparent account of government expenditure and economic performance in the Mid‑Year Budget Review.
Mr. Antwi‑Ocran said the policy measures outlined in the review were timely and favourable to the banking sector as well as the broader business community.
According to him, the proposals are expected to boost liquidity, improve access to credit and create a more enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
He noted that the government has demonstrated commitment to ensuring public funds are efficiently utilised to support economic recovery, protect vulnerable citizens and advance key development priorities.
Mr. Antwi‑Ocran further expressed optimism that the budget would strengthen confidence in the financial sector and stimulate economic growth at the local level.
The Finance Minister presented the Mid‑Year Budget Review to Parliament to update the nation on fiscal performance and policy direction for the remainder of the year.
