Long queues slows voting in Ho Central NPP Constituency Executive election 

Long queues characterised voting at the OLA Senior High School polling centre in Ho on Saturday as delegates participated in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ho Central Constituency Executive elections.

As of 1200 hours, only 582 delegates had cast their ballots out of the 1,933 delegates expected to vote to elect 11 constituency executives from a field of 32 aspirants.

Many delegates remained in the queue awaiting their turn to vote, with election officials working steadily to process voters amid tight security and orderly arrangements at the venue.

Voting, which commenced in the morning, was expected to end at 1600 hours, although the large turnout and slow pace of the process raised the possibility of voting extending beyond the scheduled closing time to enable all delegates in the queue to exercise their franchise.

Party officials and members of the election committee urged delegates to remain calm and orderly as electoral officers continued the voting process.
