A 12‑member Board of Governors has been inaugurated for Brakwa Senior High Technical School in the Asikuma‑Odoben‑Brakwa District of the Central Region, with a mandate to strengthen academic quality, discipline, and overall school development.
Mr. Benjamin Asare, Head of the Planning Unit at the Central Regional Education Office, speaking on behalf of Dr. Juliette Dufie Otami, the Central Regional Director of Education, said the establishment of the board aligns with the Ghana Education Service Act and its regulations. He noted that members are expected to bring their professional expertise and experiences to bear on the effective management of the school.
He encouraged outgoing board members to remain connected to the institution and continue supporting its growth in any capacity they can.
Dr. Otami tasked the newly constituted board to provide strategic leadership and oversight in advancing academic excellence, promoting the holistic well‑being of students, and driving infrastructural development. She emphasized that discipline remains the foundation of academic success and urged the board to work closely with school authorities to uphold high standards of conduct.
The Headmistress, Mrs. Juliana A.D. Azasu, commended the outgoing board for initiating several developmental projects during their tenure. She appealed to the new board to sustain those gains and strive to achieve even more.
Mrs. Azasu also called on the board to help address pressing challenges confronting the school and extended her best wishes as they begin their mandate.
