The Paga Youth Movement has successfully commenced its Inter-Community Games competition among 13 communities,aimed at promoting peace, unity, and social cohesion among the youth within the area.
The sporting event brought together various communities to compete in football, tags of war, sacks raise and other recreational activities in an atmosphere of friendship, teamwork, and mutual respect. The initiative served as a platform to strengthen relationships among the youth while encouraging peaceful coexistence and community development.
Speaking during the event, the Paga Youth Movement Chairman, Wenawome Duriyem Aborah emphasized that sports remain a powerful tool for uniting people regardless of their backgrounds, political affiliations, or social differences. He noted that the games were designed not only to discover young talents but also to foster discipline, tolerance, and togetherness among participants.
"Today is not only about football and entertainment, but also about strengthening peace, unity, friendship, and development among our communities" Aborah emphasized.
Speaking to some residents who witnessed the games commended the Paga Youth Movement, under the leadership of Mr. Aborah for the initiative, describing it as timely and beneficial in promoting harmony and youth empowerment.
Others also expressed appreciation to the organizer,(PAYOM) for creating an opportunity for interaction, networking, and healthy competition among neighboring communities.
The event ended successfully with calls for continuous support for youth-centered programs that encourage peace, unity, and development in the area.
The match between Zenga FC vrs Bissao FC went 4 nill against Bissao FC, with an atmosphere of jubilation and Celebration from supporters, particularly the Zanga FC supporters.
