A fuel tanker carrying huge litres of petrol has crashed into a garage at Ridge, near Plux 2 Pub, in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred on Thursday, April 16, 2026, destroying more than 15 vehicles that had been parked at the site for sale. No casualties were recorded.
The crash has left the garage owner counting significant losses, as several of the damaged vehicles were displayed along the roadside.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, including teams from the Kumasi Kejetia Fire Station and the Ashanti Regional Fire Headquarters, responded swiftly to the scene.
Firefighters brought the situation under control and carried out cooling operations to prevent any potential fire outbreak or explosion, ensuring the area was secured.
