Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has attended the closing ceremony of the government’s Strategic Planning Retreat organised by the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) in Akosombo.
The retreat brought together key government officials and policy actors to reflect on national development priorities, align strategies across sectors, and chart a clear and focused path for Ghana’s socio-economic development.
Speaking at the closing session, the Vice President underscored the importance of coordinated planning and evidence-based decision-making in driving sustainable national growth.
She noted that the retreat provided a valuable platform for frank discussions on policy direction, implementation challenges, and the need for stronger institutional collaboration.
The Strategic Planning Retreat forms part of the government’s broader efforts to ensure coherence between national development frameworks and sectoral programmes, while fostering accountability and results-oriented governance.
Participants described the retreat as a strategic convergence aimed at strengthening policy alignment and sharpening Ghana’s development agenda to respond effectively to current and emerging challenges.
