The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has announced that two categories of allowances expected to be paid in November were not processed as scheduled.

The Department explained that the allowances could not be captured after the final payroll run encountered a major technical hitch.

This forced the Department to pause processing to prevent delays to November salaries for all government workers.

In a statement issued on November 25 and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Cephas N. Dosoo, the Department said the step was necessary to keep the payroll cycle stable.

“Two categories of allowances scheduled for payment in November 2025 could not be processed due to a technical hitch encountered during the final payroll run,” the statement said in part.

The CAGD noted that the challenge is currently being resolved and assured workers of prompt payment next month.

“The outstanding allowances will be paid together with the December 2025 salaries on 18th December 2025,” the Department noted.
