President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. James Klutse Avedzi to serve in an Acting capacity as the Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The appointment which takes immediate effect comes after the President terminated the appointment of Rev. Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh.
“I write to formally inform you that the President of the Republic has terminated your appointment as the Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission effective immediately.
“You are directed to hand over your duties to Dr. James Klutse Avedzi, who shall act as the Director-General of the Commission,” a letter from the Presidency signed by Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama to Rev. Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh said.
In the letter, President John Dramani Mahama expressed his gratitude to Rev. Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh for his service to the nation during the time he served as Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
