The Women in Law and Development in Africa (WiLDAF) Ghana Network has expressed confidence that the tenure of Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang will promote inclusivity and gender responsiveness in Ghana.
In a statement congratulating Prof. Opoku-Agyemang on her historic election as Ghana’s first female Vice President, WiLDAF Ghana highlighted her exceptional leadership and trailblazing achievements.
The network emphasized that her tenure will bring transformative changes, especially in advancing gender equality and social inclusion.
“We are confident that her tenure will bring fresh perspectives and transformative changes, promoting inclusivity and gender responsiveness,” the statement read.
WiLDAF Ghana commended Prof. Opoku-Agyemang for her long-standing dedication to promoting gender equity, particularly during her tenure as the first female Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and as Minister for Education.
The network further called on President John Dramani Mahama to ensure that Vice President Opoku-Agyemang receives the support and resources needed to fulfill her mandate effectively.
WiLDAF Ghana believes her success is crucial for solidifying women’s leadership and promoting inclusive progress in Ghana.
