At a grand ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Centre, National Security Coordinator Edward Asomani was awarded the prestigious Order of the Volta (Member).
The accolade, conferred by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, celebrated Asomani’s remarkable leadership, strategic foresight, and steadfast commitment to safeguarding Ghana’s national security.

The ceremony, attended by distinguished guests including Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, honoured individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Ghana’s development. In his acceptance speech, Asomani attributed his success to the collaborative efforts of the nation’s security agencies, emphasizing teamwork as the cornerstone of his achievements.
Through his leadership, Ghana has emerged as a regional leader in security, earning acclaim both domestically and internationally. His initiatives prioritise inter-agency collaboration, intelligence sharing, and reforms that uphold professionalism and human rights, enhancing the nation’s capacity to counter emerging threats effectively.
