MoF issues financial clearance for recruitment of 15,200 nurses and midwives

The Ministry of Health has received financial clearance to recruit 15,200 nurses and midwives across the country to strengthen healthcare delivery.

This is according to a public announcement issued by the sector minister on Monday, July 29.

The recruitment process is scheduled to commence on August 5th 2024 and will be conducted through an online application portal on the Ministry of Health's website at https://hr.moh.gov.gh.

Interested and qualified applicants are being urged to apply through this centralized online system.

"Qualified applicants are requested to formally apply on the Ministry of Health online application portal by logging-in onto https://hr.moh.gov.gh and follow the instructions to select the preferred agency under the Ministry," said Alhaji Hafiz Adam, Chief Director of the Ministry of Health in the statement.

The online portal allows applicants to conveniently express interest for posts in their preferred organizations under the health sector.

The deadline for submission of applications is August 23, 2024.

In the announcement, the Ministry warned the general public to be wary of fraudsters posing as middlemen who may offer to assist with applications for a fee.

“The Ministry therefore advises all applicants not to make any payment for this process. Whoever pays money does so at his/her own risk," the Chief Director cautioned.

The large-scale hiring of nurses and midwives forms part of efforts to boost healthcare resources nationwide and improve access to quality health services for Ghanaians across the country.

It also aims to help address staffing gaps and challenges faced by health facilities.
