Electoral Commission (EC) has denied accusations leveled by President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, alleging disenfranchisement of the people of Santrokofi, Apkafu, Lolobi, and Lipke (SALL) in the creation of the Guan Constituency.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, 15 May 2024, the EC clarified its stance, asserting that it adhered to all legal protocols in the establishment of the Guan Constituency and refuted any claims of disenfranchisement.
The Commission emphasised: “At no point did it disenfranchise the people in the newly created Guan Constituency.”
The EC reiterated its commitment to due process, stating: “We followed all the legal processes in creating a constituency and never disenfranchised the people in our procedure.”
Furthermore, the EC labelled the allegations as “false” and urged the public to disregard them.
The EC expressed disappointment in IMANI Africa's continued dissemination of what it deemed as falsehoods, calling for verification of information directly from the Commission for accuracy.
“It is unfortunate that IMANI continues to peddle falsehood and untruths about the Commission at every point and turn. His narrative that the Commission disenfranchised the people of SALL, now the Guan Constituency, is FALSE,” the EC stressed.
It also urged the public to verify information put out by “IMANI, with the Commission for the truth and the facts.”

Jean Mensa, you are a woman who has caused Ghanaians a lot of psychological trauma, yet, you never accept responsibility for your crimes because you have become Akufo Addo's puppet and do everything he requires of you. You escaped justice for rigging 2016 and 2020 elections, we shall see what happens in 2024, especially, after the majority of Ghanaians have rejected Bawumia, the failed vice president, the comedian, and the quack economist, who wants to be president.
