Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has indicated that he is proud to be heading into the 2024 General Election with Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as his Running Mate again.
According to the former President, his choice of the former Education Minister to join him on the NDC ticket is because of her integrity, dedication, and vision for a better Ghana.
“I am proud to have Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as my running mate.
“Her integrity, dedication, and vision for a better Ghana make her the ideal candidate to join me in leading our party to victory in the upcoming elections,” John Dramani Mahama shared in a post on X after the announcement on Thursday.
Having served as Minister for Education and as the first female Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, she has emerged as a trailblazer for women in leadership across Ghana.
The NDC in a press release today said the selection of Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang underscores the party’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and women's empowerment in leadership roles.
The party said Prof. Opoku Agyemang brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the presidential ticket, which will help the party win power in the 2024 General Elections.
