In my piece, Russia’s Phantom Coup, I gave my reasons why I think that the Prigozhin’s coup was anything but a serious attempt to overthrow the Russian government.
Of course, many commentators (especially those who get their facts from CNN and the BBC, scoffed at the suggestion. All that was of interest to them was to serve as echo chambers to amplify Western bs to denigrate Russia and its people and to demonize the only man who stands between them and their quest for Global Hegemony.
No, I am not all-knowing or whatever, all that I do is to read widely and try to make sense of what I have gathered. Most important is that, unlike most people, I do my best to retain my faculties for critical thinking.
Prigozhin’s case was elementary: no sane person will march to Moscow with 3,000 troops without air superiority to go and attempt to throw the president out of the Kremlin. Read my article here: https://femi6a133.substack.com/p/russias-phantom-coup
Yesterday we have a confirmation that the alleged coup leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin is, apparently, not under any sanction or disfavor. He released a video somewhere in Africa, probably in the Sahel, telling us about his intention to help free Africa! See here:
A few days ago, I wrote a scathing denunciation of African Defence Chiefs who appear to lack the brains to decipher the vast geopolitical dramas taking shape across the globe. If those who are supposed to be the guardians of our defense and security are so appallingly uninformed, how are their political bosses expected to make informed military decisions?
What are the implications of Prigozhin’s sudden appearance in the midst of the Sahelian drama? Why are African defense chiefs not calling urgent meetings to address the externalization of the simmering conflicts in the middle of Africa? Why is the AU silent? Why are the puppets in ECOWAS going about their business as if these are normal situations? Are we in Africa so bereft of historical knowledge that we fail to remember that our enslavement and subsequent colonization were made possible by the stupid internecine wars our ancestors fought which led to the collapse of our last empire in Songhay?
These are questions that the so-called African intellectuals refused to raise. Could it be that the only thing that is of concern to them is to look good so that they can be considered for political jobs?
