THU, 27 APR 2023

The finance minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, has been torturing Ghanaians by trying to implement measures or obligations required by the IMF for financial assistance in recent months, following the disastrous performance and widespread corruption by the incompetent NPP government that has crippled the nation. The quack finance minister has been misleading Ghanaians by saying that the approval will soon come and despite the difficulties, he will lead them to cross the River Jordan.

The NPP once boasted that they will never go to the IMF but is now growing impatient and think the financial bailout is long overdue I need to tell Ken Ofori-Atta that the IMF team is not as naïve and foolish as the NPP government. Even though the government can painstakingly follow every measure required by the IMF, as he continues to torture the people, including pensioners, the International Monetary Fund for various reasons will not be eager to approve any financial assistance soon or never.

I want Ken Ofori-Atta, the bogus finance minister, to understand that while he keeps torturing Ghanaians through debt restructuring to satisfy the IMF's requirements, the financial team will reject the country's bail application because they have established their criminal status by declaring war on those who are trying to fight corruption in the nation.

The IMF does not offer loans for specific projects; instead, it offers financial assistance to nations experiencing crises, allowing them to implement measures to reestablish economic development and stability. While loan instruments are continually updated to match the shifting needs of nations, the Fund also offers preventive funding to help prevent catastrophes. However, the IMF is also interested in many other topics in addition to the activities listed above.

The International Monetary Fund carefully analyzes how corruption is dealt with in the affected nations. If a country is not doing enough to combat the corruption that caused the economic crisis in the first place, the IMF will delay approving financial bailouts to that country and as we know, the president continues to declare war on people working to combat corruption in the nation despite enormous corruption occurring within the NPP government with impunity.

Since money is granted to distressed countries by the International Monetary Fund to benefit the nation and the people, especially the children under psychological trauma, they don’t easily approve money to countries knowing that financial assistance will be a waste. It will be recalled that on February 17, 2023, I wrote “Don’t Underestimate The IMF, Criminals in Ghanaian Politics Justifying Criminality, Are Threat To Ghana’s Progress,” warning the Ghanaian government.

I made it obvious to the Ghanaian government in that particular article, which was published on ModernGhana on February 23, 2023, that the IMF might choose to reject the country's financial bailout if it takes various events that are not going well in the country into consideration, one of which is the unchecked pervasive corruption. They won't tell you, but as a wise leader, you ought to be aware of this. In addition, on February 9, 2023, I published a piece for Ghanaweb titled "Attacks on Sam Ablakwa for fighting corruption can affect Ghana's IMF bailout" in response to his exposure of Rev. Kusi Boateng's complicity in the Cathedral scandal.

Where have all the intelligent elders in Ghana gone if the NPP government is still ignoring and acknowledging the issues that are preventing the IMF to act quickly, while a common writer like me can easily identify the roots of the cause? Akufo Addo is being dogged by scandals every day and has engaged in illegal mining while pretending he opposes it, and more importantly, Al Jazeera recently exposed him in a gold deal that is costing the country billions of dollars.

However, people who are publishing these exposés, like Professor Frimpong Boateng, are facing violence in a country that is requesting financial aid from the International Monetary Fund. The fact that Professor Frimpong Boateng's research did not implicate Mahama but rather the current president Nana Akufo Addo, has angered Mahama's opponents, including the so-called lawyer Maurice Ampaw, being fed by NPP’s corruption. He called for Ablakwa’s corruption report on the Cathedral to be kicked out of court and just recently, he criticized Prof. Boateng as immature. The NPP government is the most irresponsible in Ghana's political history and has pledged never to accept responsibility for its wrongdoings that hurt the country.

If the NPP government doesn’t blame the Russia-Ukraine War or COVID for its incompetence, they will blame John Mahama. Even the latest expose of Akufo Addo's involvement in illegal mining by Professor Frimpong Boateng has been blamed on the NDC. According to Richard Ahiagbah, “Why the NDC harms people's reputations over insignificant claims?” You see, this is what I'm talking about. Ghana may get or may not get any financial assistance from the IMF because the NPP government has demonstrated to be a bunch of criminals that continue to ruin the country with impunity.

This is what I'm referring to, as you can see, under the nose of foreign ambassadors, including the US, serving their nations in Ghana, the NPP government has proven to be a bunch of criminals who continue to devastate the nation with impunity, Ghana may or may not receive any financial aid from the International Monetary Fund.
