
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Wa West, Peter Lanchene Toobu has reacted to the viral video of an altercation between a Senior Police Officer and a Junior Police Officer.
In the viral video of an incident that occurred on the morning of July 20, some Police Officers are seen exchanging words.
Speaking to TV3 on the incident, Wa West MP Peter Lanchene Toobu said the incident is an embarrassment to the Police Service.
According to him, insubordination must be dealt with in the Service as a matter of urgency.
“This open altercation between the senior Police Officer and the Junior Police Officer is an embarrassment to the service, it has brought disrepute to the Police service.
“If you have people who have energy and they do have intelligence yet they do not have integrity it is poison to the organization, they will destroy the organization,” Hon. Peter Lanchene Toobu who is a retired Police Officer shared.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service is investigating the incident and has given assurance to the general public that internal disciplinary processes are being applied.
