National chairman hopeful of the National Democratic Congress NDC, Honourable Nii Armah Ashietey has disclosed that, grassroots or better say foot soldiers of NDC needs to be more empowered at the branch and ward levels in order to have a constant and effective communication between members and their executives.
According to the former Employment and Labour Relations Minister, members of the NDC family at the moment need to organize and manage their branch activities in order to attract more members to the fold of the Akatamanson family.
Nii Armah Ashietey made the call during a visit to Ashalaja Town, in the Obom Domeabra constituency of the Greater Accra where he interacted with branch executives and assured them of a "better tomorrow".
"Amidst the current economic situation caused by the current NPP government where at the moment the center is not holding shows that, Ghanaians are calling on NDC for a better and prudent economic management like under His excellence John Mahama and the NDC did, which Ghanaians are now seeing the difference between NDC economic management team and nose-dive NPP economic team," he stated.
He urged branch executives not to give up but rather organize their branch meetings regularly to keep all members active and vibrant since branch elections will soon start.
"Every constituency has a branch, and the effectiveness of constituency in national elections depends on vibrant branch/ward activities and relationships," he emphasized.
