The re-elected Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Divine Otoo Agorhom has called for party unity and cohesion ahead of the 2024 general elections.
Speaking earlier today in an exclusive interview with host of Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Chairman Divine emphasized the need for the rank and file of the NPP to work together as a family to make the "breaking the 8" slogan of the party a reality.
"It's time for reconciliation, we will be calling each other, everyone will bring his or her ideas onboard because everyone has a role to play and it is time to bring everybody onboard. Let’s unite against the task ahead. For me, I think it is a very very big opportunity that I would not want to play with it at all”, he stressed.
He also seized the opportunity to congratulate his colleague elected regional executives and reassured them of his commitment to do everything humanly possible to bring all onboard so that the party can achieve its ultimate goal of breaking the eight-year political cycle.
Chairman Divine Agorhom garnered 332 votes to beat his contender, Alfred Boye who obtained 326 in last Saturday's regional elections held at the Trade Fair Centre.
