Southern Volta Fashion Show in collaboration with God's Desire Creation, a cooperate organizations at Anloga in Anloga District of the Volta Region have supported about 100 brilliant but needy pupils with school uniforms in some four schools.
The schools supported include E.P School, Hafiakor L/A Basic School, Dornorgbor E.P Basic School and Aklorbordzi L/A Basic School.
Mr Kpoxah Prosper, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization said the motive behind the gesture was to show love and care to the needy but brilliant pupils in the district and beyond .
He said their association consist of hairdressers, makeup artists, barbers, fashion designers among others.
He told ModernGhana news in an exclusive interview that, he "feels very sad seeing some pupils drop out of school due to lack of school uniforms".
He stated that no school going child should be made to feel inferior among their colleagues because of school uniforms.
"It is of a great honour for me to stepped in for the pupils who l describes as brilliant but needy who are the future leaders of our beloved Anlo District and the country as a whole," he added.
Mr Kporxa also disclosed that the number of pupils who benefited from their supports this time was higher as compared to the previous years.
He promised his outfit will keep the support to mitigate and eradicate dropout among school-going children.
Mrs Diana Sefe, wife of Member of Parliament (MP) for Anlo constituency who represented her husband, Mr Richard Kwame Sefe praised Mr Kporxah for his good gestures and urged him to do more since many of the school dropouts in the area is as a result of poverty.
Mrs Sefe also urged parents present at the occation to make sure they take proper and good care of the uniforms and also continue to pray for the CEO.
"I also benefited and got encouraged by a benevolent donor who supported me with school uniform during my school going days," she stated.
Mr Angelo Agbodzi, a former student of Aklobordzi basic school who doubled as the Volta Regional Deputy Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) party present at the occation applauded Mr Kporxa and his team for their support.
Parents, teachers and many other people who where present at the occation on Monday, February 14, 2022 expressed excitement over the support.
