As children of God we are aware that one of the promises in the bible was given to Abram whom God appointed to be a blessing to the whole earth. /B]

Not only did God tell this third patriarch that he will receive a good land and have many children, but He also promised Abram, “I will bless those who bless you and him who dishonors you I will curse.”
It is an incredible promise where the Lord Himself stands in the gab for Abram as He favors him who favors Abram and curses those who oppose him. Like me, you probably want God's favor over your life.
Abram's story gives us the secret to obtaining this blessing. We only need to bless Abram; Abram, later Abraham died some four thousand years ago and you might think the impossibility of blessing him.
His blessing was passed on to his generation Israel which makes you and I today. The promise was never withdrawn and it's still in full force today. But where is Abraham or his generational members so I can bless? As you bless others, the promise works for you.
There is a parable by an unknown author that conveys a great truth; once there was a farmer who grew an award – winning corn. Every year, he entered his corn in a state fair and won numerous awards and ribbons.
After an awards night, a news reporter covered the event and interviewed the farmer. “What do you do to grow such robust healthy corn” he asked. The farmer replied “well, one thing I do is share the seeds with my neighbors”.
Continuing his questions, the reporter queried “why do you share your seeds with them when they are entering the same contest with you? With confidence, the farmer said “maybe you aren't aware, but the wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field.
If my neighbors grow poor corn, cross-pollination will degrade the quality of my own corn, so if I want to grow the best corn, then I must help my neighbors grow the best corn too”.
Life goes on, and day by day we realize that, the same measure of what we put forth. Goodness breeds goods and generosity brings about more generosity. Be kind, the deed does not matter nearly as the heart behind it.
Sometimes all you have to offer is courtesy; greet someone, hold the door open, smile at someone and do not be offended if the deed is not reciprocated. You are blessed in order to be a blessing to others.
God gives to you, so you can give to others, you have, so you can help others have. The time, talents and substance aren't meant to stay just in your world. You are called to follow your purpose and your heart so others may feel the goodness of God.
You are blessed means you have been blessed by God by your decision to bless others. When you give others your time, and some part of yourself or share your possessions with others, you free space for God to give back to you. It is one of the most beautiful cycles known to man; God gives to you, you give to others, God continues to give to you.
Giving back to others ultimately puts a smile on your face and does more for you than the person receiving your gift. As the cycle of giving perpetuates itself, it connects you to the spirit of others, to the well-being of the world and to God as He seeks to continue to fill your life.
One of Nigeria's billionaires, was asked what has been his happiest moment and as he began to recount, he came across this. “I thought I would be happy when I'm able to cover half of my state's oil but I wasn't. even when I was able to cover the biggest part of Nigeria's oil, I still wasn't happy until I received a call from a friend.
He asked if I could buy two hundred-wheel chairs for a group of children who needed it. it wasn't much of a deal for me so I just handed him the money to buy them.
After he bought them, he asked me to join him and hand over the chairs to the children. I dragged him back and forth on that, but finally gave in to see to the hand over. When we got there, the screams of joy from the children brought immediate tears to my eyes and I suddenly felt something I have never felt before, real happiness.
As if that wasn't enough, as I was leaving, one of the kids held on to my leg and I bent over to him and asked what more he would want. His response shook me to the bone. He said, “I want to take a good look at you so when I get to heaven I can remember you and say thank you again”.
It isn't enough to send momo to friends and loved ones in the comfort of your homes or workplaces, be there in person and receive the blessings from their lips. Let people have access to you, we are all aware how ungrateful people are, but the irony of giving is that, the reward is God Himself.
He keeps doubling bank accounts, saving people from deadly accidents, gaining scholarships never thought of, job and travelling opportunities, beyond imaginations. Draw closer to people you know are kind, and their stories are jaw breaking and an eye opener.
But remember this, God loves a cheerful giver, not one who keeps account of every deed and expects results from everyone. As you give and show kindness blindly for the unforeseen happiness you are searching from men, the Lord Himself will stand in the gap and bless you blindly surpassing that of the degree or PHD holder.
Your height will be debatable among peers as they will begin to wonder the speed at which you attained that and your happiness your heart missed will be multiplied beyond measure, I put you to challenge this.
