The Reformed Patriotic Democrats (RPD), a political party founded in 2004 and certified in 2008, has tasked the Electoral Commission (EC) to stay focused in executing its mandate of holding credible elections despite the threats of mayhem and harm.
According to the party, the credibility of this year's election should not be compromised because of the interest of one party.
The Acting General Secretary of the party, Kwame Manu Sarpong, was speaking in an interview with DAILY GUIDE, where he called on other political parties to help the EC maintain its independence in taking decisions.
“We do not begrudge those on the opposite side. What we do not subscribe to is an attempt to tell the EC what they want to be done and to disregard all other views other than that, they are saying there will be mayhem,” he said.
