I. SON OF MAN, in this month you shall do exploits for the Lord. You shall encounter divine visitation, and the Lord will empower you with all the enablement for you to do exploits in His name. In 2 Kings 10:16 Jehu said to Jehonadab, “.” He wasn’t inviting him to a sermon. He was inviting him to watch his life. This month let the zeal for the Lord lead you to do exploits to honour His name. Let us put our zeal for the Lord into practical action and not show it for the cameras and social media posting. Let us stop the social media display of church and demonstrate our true passion for the Lord. Let us go back to the old-time region and not church displays. “Come with me and see my zeal for the Lord.” It is an affirmation of an uncompromising zeal for God in a world that demands everything. This month take up the mantle. Go back to your first love. Go back to the old-time passion for God. Go back to your daily devotion session. This month, go back to God.
II. DAUGHTER OF ZION, zeal for the Lord is not loudness and acrobatic display in church; it is an inner yearning for the Lord. It’s not a religious performance. Sister, let us recognise that biblical zeal is burning passion for God that drives action. Without godly passion, your worship, praises, and dancing purportedly in His presence are worldly entertainment. This month let us worship and praise God and not merely entertain ourselves and the crowd. should inspire you to do exploits for the Lord. This month let us not lose sight of the fact that we live in a world that demands zeal for many things: career, family, status, politics, and academics. How do we hold zeal for all these without stealing it from the Lord? The world demands your best energy. It calls it ambition, hustle, and grind. It wants your first thoughts in the morning and your last thoughts at night. But God demands your first love. In Revelation 2:4, notice the order: first love, then works. You can be busy for God and still lose zeal for God. That’s what happened to Martha. She was zealous for service, but Jesus said Mary chose the better part – zeal for His presence.
III. MY DEAR BROTHERS IN THE LORD, let's also admit that we daily encounter competing zeal; when family, business, or politics become the fire that inspires us, the Lord becomes the candle. Remember that zeal for the Lord dies in routine. When family issues overwhelm you, zeal for the Lord dies; when love and desire for money become the driving force, zeal for the Lord is dropped to the background. Jehu’s zeal came from seeing God’s word fulfilled as explained in 2 Kings 10:10. Your zeal will last only as long as your fresh encounter with God lasts. Today, when you wake up, check the direction of your zeal. What do you rush to do? Devotion or something else? Do you have time for your daily devotion, or is it reduced to rush-hour prayer? Today, before you open your emails, open the Word of God. Before you strategise for business, sit at His feet. Zeal is fuelled by a fresh sight of Christ. Paul said the Jews had “zeal for God, but not according to knowledge." Romans 10: 2. What sort of zeal should we bring and see walking with you? Can you ask your family to come along and see your zeal for the Lord? Can your work colleagues see your zeal for the Lord through your work and output? Let us demonstrate our true zeal for the Lord, not the human-pleasing zeal.
IV. MY BELOVED SISTERS IN THE LORD, this week check whether whatever you do increases your love for Christ or not. Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, do it for the Lord.” Does what you are engaged in compete with your devotion to Christ? Matthew 6:33 Seek first the kingdom. Beloved, when your zeal for family, business, or politics flows from zeal for the Lord, it becomes sanctified. When it replaces zeal for the Lord, it becomes idolatry. In Ephesians 5:25 & 6:4, we are encouraged to love our spouse and train our children in the Lord. Your zeal for family must look like leading them to Christ, not just providing for them. The most impactful thing you can do for your spouse and kids is to let them “” in how you forgive, how you pray, and how you prioritise church over convenience. Colossians 3:23 tells us to work as unto the Lord. Zeal for business becomes compromise when profit becomes your god. It stays holy when excellence becomes your worship. This is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor, Yes! Daniel was zealous in the king’s service but never missed prayer. You can be driven and still be devoted.
V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Pursue truth zealously, but remember all truth is God’s truth. Don’t let intellectual pride kill spiritual hunger.
PRAYER: Lord, open our eyes. Let us see the army of heaven surrounding us. Strengthen the weary, restore the broken, provide for the needy, revive the burnt-out, and restrain us from quitting. In Jesus Christ's name we have prayed. Amen.
